SYMPTOMS

Consider the following scenario:
  • You run a Windows Embedded CE 6.0 R3-based device that has Windows Internet Explorer update 2552298 installed. This update is included in the Windows Embedded CE 6.0 Monthly Update May 2011.
  • You configure a web server that uses the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) on the device.
  • The web server locates a webpage that contains the HTTP POST method. For example, a hyperlink or a button that uses the POST method is located on the webpage.
  • A client uses the Safari web browser to open the webpage that uses SSL, and then the client clicks the hyperlink or the button.

In this scenario, the web server times out. Additionally, the web browser does not receive a response from the web server.
