SYMPTOMS

You use Windows Live Hotmail to read an email message that is encrypted by Microsoft Exchange Hosted Encryption (EHE). When you click the answer-backURL that is included in the response of the encrypted message, a blank webpage appears.

CAUSE

This issue occurs if Windows Live Hotmail changes the answer-back URL so that the URL is not valid. In that case, a blank webpage is displayed instead of the viewer window for the decrypted message.

WORKAROUND

To work around this issue, copy and paste the answer-back URL from the message to a new web browser window.
