SYMPTOMS

When you are using the AutoDiscovery and Layout solution, if a password is set for the SA default account in Microsoft SQL Server 7.0, you may receive the following error message:

The solution failed to load. Please make sure MSDE is properly installed and is running.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, obtain Microsoft Visio 2000 Service Release 1 (SR-1).
