SYMPTOMS

When you create a child in the Directory navigator, drop it on the page, and then connect it to a different parent with a connector tool, the operation is not updated in the Directory navigator.

To resolve this problem, obtain Microsoft Visio 2000 Service Release 1 (SR-1).

Steps to Reproduce the Behavior

Start Visio.
Open the Active Directory template, and drop some shapes on the page.
Add a child to the Directory navigator, and then drag the child onto the page.
Select the connector tool, and then connect the child to a different parent. Note that in the Directory navigator, the child is still connected to the original parent.
