WD2000: Forms Protection Is Lost When You Insert Form into Another Document

SYMPTOMS

If your document is protected for forms (on the Tools menu, click Protect Document, and then click Forms), and you insert the form into another Word document, forms protection is not retained in the new document.

CAUSE

This is by design in Word. Word does not retain forms protection if the protected form is inserted into another document.
