SYMPTOMS

If your default printer is an HP 8000, a blank page is printed every time that you save a drawing.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, obtain Microsoft Visio 2000 Service Release 1 (SR-1).

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.  This problem was corrected in Microsoft Visio 2000 SR-1.

Steps to Reproduce the Behavior

  1. Install an HP 8000 printer, and then set it as your default printer.
  2. On the File menu in Visio 2000, click Save or Save As.

    Note that the printer prints a blank page.
