When you receive a slide that was sent as an e-mail message, any animations that it has do not work. Also, you may receive the following error when you open the message:
A Runtime Error has occurred. Do you wish to Debug? Line: Line_number Error: 'gid' is undefined
A Runtime Error has occurred. Do you wish to Debug? Line: Line_number Error: Object expected CAUSE
This behavior occurs if you have installed the Outlook
E-mail Security Update. The Outlook E-mail Security Update
provides additional levels of protection against malicious
e-mail messages. The update changes the way that
Outlook handles attachments and the way that Outlook
can be controlled programmatically. For additional information about this update, please see one of the following articles in the Microsoft Knowledge Base, depending on which version of Outlook you have: 262631

When PowerPoint sends a single slide as an e-mail message, it includes a script.js file attachment to automatically resize the slide image and to run any slide animations that have been applied to the slide. The Outlook E-mail Security Update prevents this script from running.
