Visio2000: Cross-Functional Flowchart Bands No Longer Snap to Existing Bands

SYMPTOMS

In Visio 2000, after you reorder pages, Cross-Functional Flowchart bands no longer snap to existing bands.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, obtain Microsoft Visio 2000 Service Release 1 (SR-1).

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.  This problem was corrected in Microsoft Visio 2000 SR-1.

Steps to Reproduce the Behavior

  1. On the File menu, point to New, point to Flowchart, and then click Cross-Functional Flowchart.
  2. On the Insert menu, click Page to insert a new page. Click OK when you are prompted to copy bands.
  3. Reorder the pages by right-clicking the Page-2 tab and then clicking Reorder Pages.
  4. Drag functional band shapes onto the drawing page.

    Note that the functional bands do not snap to existing bands on the page as they should.
