FIX: "HRESULT 0xE06D7363" error message when a client application uses the Microsoft.SqlServer.Types.dll component on a computer that has SQL Server 2008 SP2 installed

SYMPTOMS

When you run a client application that uses the Microsoft.SqlServer.Types.dll component on a computer that has Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Service Pack 2 (SP2) installed, you receive the following error message:

Microsoft SQL Server 2008 hotfixes are created for specific SQL Server service packs. You must apply a SQL Server 2008 Service Pack 2 hotfix to an installation of SQL Server 2008 Service Pack 2. By default, any hotfix that is provided in a SQL Server service pack is included in the next SQL Server service pack.
