SYMPTOMS

When you try to open an existing encrypted message or try to send a new encrypted message in Outlook 2000, you may receive the following error message:

File containing security information could not be found.

You receive this error message when you upgrade Microsoft Exchange Client 5.0 to Outlook 2000 or Outlook 2000 Service Release 1 (SR-1).
