SYMPTOMS

In Visio 2000 Technical Edition, when you try to rotate a door shape, the door may not rotate as expected.

CAUSE

The rotate feature was changed in Visio 2000 Technical Edition to "flip" the doors rather than to rotate the doors. The rotate feature has been re-implemented in Visio 2000 SR-1.

RESOLUTION

To add the re-implemented feature to Visio 2000 Technical Edition, obtain Microsoft Visio Service Release 1.

To obtain SR-1, click the article number below to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

To rotate doors in Visio 2000 Technical Edition:
  • Right-click the door that you want to rotate, and then click the way that you want to "flip" the door. You can change the door to open in, instead of out, or right, instead of left

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.  This problem was corrected in Microsoft Visio 2000 SR-1.
