Visio2000: Errors When You Try to Create a New Home Plan

SYMPTOMS

When you try to create a new home plan, you may receive warning messages about macros in the drawing. You also receive the messages for the following stencils:
  • Appliances.vss
  • Bath and kitchen plan.vss
  • Furniture.vss
  • Garden accessories.vss

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, obtain Microsoft Visio 2000 Service Release 1 (SR-1).

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.  This problem was corrected in Microsoft Visio 2000 SR-1.

Steps to Reproduce the Behavior

  1. On the Tools menu, click Options, click the Advanced tab, and then click to select the Macro Virus Protection check box.
  2. On the File menu, point to New, point to Building Architecture, and then click Home Plans to create a new home plan. Note that you receive a warning message about macros in the document.
