SYMPTOMS

In Visio 2000 Technical Edition, the paper size is reset to Letter when you open any of the following templates:

Home Plans
Floor Plans
Plant Layout
Reflected Ceiling Plans
Site Plans

To resolve this problem, obtain Microsoft Visio 2000 Service Release 1 (SR-1).

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. This problem was corrected in Microsoft Visio 2000 SR-1.

Steps to Reproduce the Behavior

Install a printer.
Set the printer default paper size to Executive.
Start Visio.
Open any one of the following templates:
- Home Plans
- Floor Plans
- Plant Layout
- Reflected Ceiling Plans
- Site Plans
On the File menu, click Page Setup, and then click the Print Setup tab in the Page Setup dialog box.

Note that the paper size is Letter.
