To delete all temporary files, follow these steps:
- Start Windows Explorer, type %SystemDrive%\WINDOWS\TEMP in the address bar, and then press Enter.

- Press Ctrl+A to select all the files in the TEMP folder. Right-click and then click Delete.

- When you are prompted, click Yes.
- Restart your computer, and then try to install Internet Explorer 9.
To generate a Schema.dat file again, you can change the name of the old Schema.dat file. To do this, follow these steps:
- Start Windows Explorer, type %SystemDrive%\Windows\System32\SMI\Store\Machine in the address bar, and then press Enter.

- Right-click schema.dat, and then click Rename.

- Change Schema.dat to a different name. For example, type schema.dat.old.
