XL2000: Memory Leak When Excel Calculates User-Defined Functions

Microsoft Excel may leak memory when a custom function, also known as a user-defined function (UDF), is calculated.

This problem occurs if the arguments for the UDF are located on a different sheet than the one that contains the UDF.

If the UDF calculation starts when a cell on which the UDF depends is not yet calculated, Excel cancels the UDF calculation and postpones it. However, Excel does not free the memory that was already reserved for the calculation's return value.
