"Unable to load the Excel template" error message when you run the import Flowchart Data Wizard in Visio 2000

In the products listed at the beginning of this article, if you have Microsoft Excel 95 installed and you start the Import Flowchart Data Wizard, you receive the following error message:
Unable to load the Excel template. Make sure the following file was installed correctly and then try again: C:\Program Files\Visio\Solutions\Flowchart\Flowchart Data Template.xlt
Then the wizard does not continue.
CAUSE
The Flowchart Data Template.xlt file was saved in Microsoft Excel 97 format. If you have Excel 95 installed, the Import Flowchart Data Wizard tries to read the Excel 97 file, which results in the error message mentioned in the "Symptoms" section.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, obtain Microsoft Visio 2000 Service Release 1 (SR-1).

To temporarily work around this problem, open the Flowchart Data Template.xlt file in Excel 97, and then resave the file in Excel 95 format.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article. This problem was corrected in Microsoft Visio 2000 SR-1.
