Error Messages Displayed When You Click Links on Pages with Frames

When you click a link on a Web page that contains frames, you may receive one of the following error messages: These errors may occur if the target frame that is referenced does not exist on the server.

To resolve this issue, do one of the following:

• Install the version of Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 available on Microsoft Windows Update.

• Download a copy of Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 from the following Web site:
  http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/ (http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/)

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.

The version of Internet Explorer 5.5 included with Microsoft Windows Millennium Edition (Me) is 5.50.4134.0100. The Internet Explorer 5.5 version that is available for download on the Microsoft Web site is version 5.50.41.34.0600.
