XCON: Message Transfer Agent Instance Is Not Displayed in Performance Monitor on Terminal Services Client

SYMPTOMS

The message transfer agent (MTA) instance may not be displayed in Microsoft Windows NT Performance Monitor on a Terminal Services client.

CAUSE

This issue can occur because the performance counter for the Exchange Server MTA was not assumed to be shared with Terminal Services.

RESOLUTION

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Exchange Server version 5.5. This problem was first corrected in Exchange Server 5.5 Service Pack 4.
