SYMPTOMS

After you unlock a workstation with the network disconnected, "Access denied" error messages or other program error messages may occur after about five minutes.

CAUSE

The security subsystem erroneously removes a cached security ID (SID) entry. Because the computer is disconnected from the network, the entry cannot be reloaded. This causes some security calls not to work.
