Introduction

This article describes a new rule for Microsoft Lync Server 2010 Best Practices Analyzer (BPA). The new rule checks whether the latest cumulative updates for Lync Server 2010 are installed. Specifically, the BPA rule checks for the cumulative updates that are described in the following Microsoft Knowledge Base (KB) articles:

  • Hotfix update

    • 2568557 A DTMF-based IVR application that is developed by using Lync Server 2010, UCMA 3.0 Workflow APIs crashes

  • Cumulative updates

    • 2701659 Description of the cumulative update for Lync Server 2010, Conferencing Attendant: June 2012

    • 2708616 Description of the cumulative update for Lync Server 2010, Web Conferencing Server: June 2012

    • 2740406 Description of the cumulative update for Lync Server 2010, Unified Communications Managed API 3.0 Runtime: October 2012

    • 2751447 Description of the cumulative update for Lync Server 2010, Conferencing Server: November 2012
