You Receive Error Messages When You Use File Manager

SYMPTOMS

When you open a Microsoft Office 2000 document from File Manager and then change to another directory in File Manager, you may receive one of the following error messages:
"WINFILE caused a general protection fault in module WINFILE.EXE at address."
or
"Winfile has caused an error in WINFILE.EXE."

RESOLUTION

To work around this behavior, use Microsoft Windows Explorer to open all Office 2000 files.
