Renaming CD-ROM Drive Creates Admin$ Share to Which Everyone Has Full Permission

If you rename a CD-ROM drive or other removable-media drive (for example, from the default drive D to drive H), an administrative share for the new drive letter is created. No password is necessary to access the CD-ROM drive after the drive letter has been changed, regardless of who tries to connect. Members of the Everyone group have access to the drive. Renaming the drive back to its original drive letter does not resolve the problem.
