Adobe Font Driver Causes Text Damage with Multiple Master Fonts

SYMPTOMS

The Adobe Font driver that is installed with Windows 2000 causes text damage when multiple master fonts are installed.

CAUSE

This problem with text damage occurs when the Adobe Type Manager (ATM) driver runs out of cache memory when there are a large number of loaded Far East Type I fonts.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Windows 2000. For additional information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article. This problem was first corrected in Windows 2000 Service Pack 2.
