Introduction

This article discusses an update that adds "UCWEB" exception information to the Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 R2 trace log when a "404/Not found" or "500/Internal"errormessage is written to the log.

MORE INFORMATION

Assume that you deploy Microsoft Outlook Web App (OWA) integration in an Office Communications Server 2007 R2 environment. To troubleshoot an OWA instant message issue, you use the Office Communications Server 2007 R2 Logging Tool to produce a trace log. This trace log includes a "404/Not found" or "500/Internal error" message. However, the log does not contain information about the server name of the DNS SRV record that could not be resolved.

To add the "UCWEB" exception information, install the following update:
2686823 Description of the update for Office Communications Server 2007 R2, Unified Communications Managed API 2.0 Core Redist 64-bit: April 2012

After the update is installed, the following "UCWEB" exception information is displayed in the "404/Notfound" or the "500/Internal" error message in the trace log:
domain=domain

Note domain is the name of the domain that could not be resolved.
