SYMPTOMS

You use Internet Explorer 9 to browse to a webpage that contains JavaScript. Under certain conditions, when JavaScript handles a string, Internet Explorer may crash, and you may receive an "Access Violation" error.

CAUSE

This problem may occur when JavaScript unintentionally deletes a string structure internally even though there is code that still references the string.

To resolve this problem, install this update.
