OL2000: Item_Write() and Dragging New Calendar Entry Causes Outlook Shutdown Hang

Under certain circumstances, when the Item_Write() function has been defined in a custom form to assign a value to a user-defined field, if you create or move Calendar entries in Outlook, you may cause a stack corruption that interferes with Outlook shutdown.

This problem can occur because of stack corruption.

To resolve this problem, apply Microsoft Office 2000 Service Pack 3 (SP3).

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
