SYMPTOMS

Device Manager may list an ATA-100 device incorrectly as using PIO mode instead of UDMA mode. This is a result of adding support for ATA-100 devices as described in the following Microsoft Knowledge Base article:

CAUSE

The user interface was not modified to reflect the correct mode.
