FIX: Error message when you try to assign an IP address range in Forefront Unified Access Gateway 2010 SP1: "The following array members do not have a static IP address pool defined for VPN client connections"

Symptoms

When you try to assign an IP address range on the IP Address Assignment tab of the SSL Networking Tunneling Configuration dialog box in Microsoft Forefront Unified Access Gateway (UAG) 2010 Service Pack 1 (SP1), you receive the following error message in the SSL Network Tunneling Configuration dialog box:

The following array members do not have a static IP address pool defined for VPN client connections: Server_Name
Additionally, the following error message is logged in the Forefront UAG trace log file:

ERROR: One or more array members have no dedicated static IP pool. See definition of Server_Name

Resolution

To resolve this problem, install the service pack that is described in the following Microsoft Knowledge Base article:
2710791 Description of Service Pack 2 for Forefront Unified Access Gateway 2010

Status

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
