Assume that you try to print an Adobe document that uses certain fonts by using the Microsoft XPS Document Writer (MXDW) driver on a Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2-based computer. In this situation, the Splwow64 process crashes.
Note This issue also occurs when you use an XPS-based print driver or when you use the Terminal Services Easy Print Printer Driver. These drivers rely on XPS or XPS Document Writer.
