After Service Pack 2 (SP2) is installed for Office for Mac 2011, you may receive this message:
Please upgrade the Office database
The message provides two options: Upgrade or Rebuild.
If you select Upgrade, this error may appear:
There is a problem with the Office database. You must rebuild it using the database utility.
If you select Rebuild, this error may appear:
Your identity is older than this version of Outlook. Please rebuild by using the last version of Outlook that used this identity.
Warning: You should follow these steps only if Office for Mac 2011 has been updated to Service Pack 2. To check, open Word, and then click About Word from the Word menu. If the version number is 14.2.0 or above, Service Pack 2 was installed.
Method 1 - Download and install update 14.2.2Update 14.2.2 is available and should be installed before trying the steps in Method 2. Open Word and click About Word to check the version.
