SYMPTOMS

Consider the follow scenario:
  • You apply one of the following updates on a telephone that is running Microsoft Lync 2010 Phone Edition:
    • 2672743 Description of the cumulative update for Lync 2010 Phone Edition for HP 4110 and HP 4120: February 2012
    • 2672352 Description of the cumulative update for Lync 2010 Phone Edition for Aastra 6721ip and Aastra 6725ip telephones: February 2012
    • 2672349 Description of the cumulative update for Lync 2010 Phone Edition for Polycom CX500, Polycom CX600, and Polycom CX3000 telephones: February 2012
  • You select one of the following time zones on the Setting page on the telephone:
    • (GMT +02:00) Harare, Pretoria
    • (GMT +02:00) Jerusalem
    • (GMT +02:00) Windhoek
  • You configure daylight saving time (DST) on the telephone.
In this scenario, the time display on the telephone is not adjusted for DST. Therefore, the time display is not moved forward one hour as expected.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, install the following update.

For Polycom CX500, Polycom CX600, and Polycom CX3000 telephones

2701671 Description of the cumulative update for Lync 2010 Phone Edition for Polycom CX500, Polycom CX600, and Polycom CX3000 telephones: June 2012

For HP 4110 and HP 4120

2701670 Description of the cumulative update for Lync 2010 Phone Edition for HP 4110 and HP 4120: June 2012

For Aastra 6721ip and Aastra 6725ip

2701667 Description of the cumulative update for Lync 2010 Phone Edition for Aastra 6721ip and Aastra 6725ip: June 2012

Note The DST end time is different in 2011 and 2012. For example, DST for Jerusalem in 2011 ended on October 2, but DST in 2012 will end on September 23. This update changes the DST end time in 2012 for time zones that are referred to in the "Symptoms" section. After you apply this update, the time moves back one hour at the correct time when DST ends in 2012.
