"The Proxy Server denies the specified URL" error message is received

SYMPTOMS

After you install Internet Security and Acceleration (ISA) Server 2000 and a client browser attempts to connect to the server, the client may receive the following error message:

Proxy Error 502 "The Proxy Server denies the specified URL".

CAUSE

This issue can occur because the firewall does not permit any traffic after the initial installation is finished. You must set up policies that permit traffic.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, use the Getting Started Wizard to configure policies that permit traffic.

Note The default Site and Content rule cannot be modified or deleted.
