Media Streaming may not work with Internet Connection Sharing enabled in Windows.Article ID: 2708755 - View products that this article applies to. SummaryThe Internet Connection Sharing (ICS) feature of Microsoft Windows allows you to share a single Internet connection with multiple computers connected to a small office/home office (SOHO) network. When using Media Streaming (or other third party DLNA services) in Windows, it is recommended that you disable ICS. Because ICS modifies the routing of some networking protocols on the host PC, it can interfere with UPnP and DLNA services such as Media Streaming. This can cause functionality to stop working and prevent other Windows Media Player, Windows Media Center, Xbox 360 clients, and other third party media players from streaming content from the Windows PC. Third party DLNA servers will likely not work with Internet Connection Sharing and these scenarios are not supported by Microsoft. It may be possible to configure Media Streaming to function while ICS is enabled though this is also not recommended nor supported.
