SYMPTOMS

When using Mswcrun.msm in a Windows Installer setup package, the associated registry entries needed for Mswcrun.dll may not be added correctly. Because Mswcrun.dll is not registered, applications that use the Microsoft Web Classes may not function correctly on computers that do not have Visual Studio installed.

CAUSE

This is due to a bug in the Mswcrun.msm file.

STATUS
