Symptoms

In a domain environment, you configure a Group Policy preference item to set the startup type of a service to Automatic (Delayed Start) on a computer that is running Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2. In this situation, the Group Policy report on the computer displays the information incorrectly.

For example, assume that you configure a service startup type to Automatic (Delayed Start) for a domain or for an organizational unit (OU). If you are using the Group Policy Management Editor, you configure this startup type in the following location:

Computer Configuration\Preferences\Control Panel Settings\ServicesThen, on a computer that is included in the domain or in the OU, you check the setting of the configured service in the Group Policy report. You do this by using the Group Policy Management Console (GPMC) tool, or by running the gpresult command together with the /h parameter. In this situation, the setting in the Group Policy report is displayed as No Change. However, the service is set to the correct setting when you check the service in the Services.msc tool.
