RESOLUTIONNote If you are using a newer version of Excel than the version that created the data file, save the file in “Excel 97 – 2003 Workbook”
format. The products that are listed in the "Applies to" section of this article do not support the import of an .xlsx file.
To resolve this problem, export the query to the database that contains the original table that you tried to import as data. The query and the table must be in the same database to establish the link to the query. If this procedure does not resolve the problem, use the following methods in the order in which they are presented. If you still experience the problem after you use the first method, go to the second method. Note Before you use these methods, make sure that no other programs are using the source file, make sure that these programs are closed, and make sure that no other users have opened the file that you want to import. Method 1: Install Access Database EngineNote Close all the applications before you access the product DVD. Streets and Trips 2008 and earlier versions of the program do not contain the AccessDatabaseEngine.exe file. If you have one of these versions, install the Access Database Engine from the Web site that follows the steps.
