Compile error in hidden module Tbrun97.xls in Excel

When you start Microsoft Excel, you receive an error message similar to one of the following: After you click OK, Excel appears to work correctly.

The Tbrun97.xls and Tbrun9.xls files are add-ins for Excel that do not seem to be fully compatible with later versions of Excel.

1. Click Start, and then click Search.
2. In the Search Results window, click All files and folders.
3. In the All or part of the file name box, type XLstart. In the Look in list, click the drive where Excel is installed.
4. Expand More advanced option, and then under Type of file, in the drop-down list, select All files and folders.
5. Select the Search system folders and Search hidden files and folders check boxes.
6. Click Search.
7. Double-click each of the folders that are found, and move or delete the Tbrun97.xls or Tbrun9.xls file from each folder where it exists.
8. Restart Excel, and confirm that the error message no longer appears.

The Tbrun97.xls file is associated with TextBridge 98, which is an optical character recognition (OCR) program that some manufacturers include with their scanner software. The Tbrun97.xls file contains "Instant Access macros for Excel 97."

Tbrun9.xls is part of TextBridge Pro Millennium Version 9.5.
