Microsoft distributes Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 Service Pack 1 (SP1) fixes as one downloadable file. Because the fixes are cumulative, each new release contains all the hotfixes and all the security fixes that were included with the previous SQL Server 2008 R2 Service Pack 1 (SP1) fix release.
Symptoms
Consider the following scenario:

You define a specific time in the Point in Time Restore dialog box on a computer that is running Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2.

The computer is running a version of Windows that uses a non-English locale, such as German.

You try to restore a database.
In this scenario, the restore operation does not stop at the time that you defined, and all selected backup sets are fully restored.
Cause
This issue occurs because date and time information is parsed incorrectly in SQL Server 2008 R2. Therefore, the date and time are displayed incorrectly in non-English locales.
