"WINNT32 /CHECKUPGRADEONLY /UNATTEND" Is Not Fully Automated

SYMPTOMS

If you use the /checkupgradeonly and /unattend:c:\unattend.txt parameters with Winnt32.exe and you use the following settings in the Unattended.txt file, users must click Finish to complete the process after the upgrade report is generated and saved:
[Unattended]
Win9xUpgrade=yes

[Win9xUpg]
ReportOnly=yes
SaveReportto=\\server\share\%computername%.txt

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Windows 2000. For additional information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article. This problem was first corrected in Windows 2000 Service Pack 2.
