Microsoft distributes Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 Service Pack 2 fixes as one downloadable file. Because the fixes are cumulative, each new release contains all the hotfixes and all the security fixes that were included with the previous SQL Server 2008 R2 Service Pack 2 fix release.
Symptoms
You try to delete a consolidated or collection member from an entity that contains a self-referencing domain-based leaf attribute in Master Data Services (MDS) in Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2. When you do this, you receive the following error message:
Unable to deactivate Entity: ConsolidatedAttribute/ CollectionAttribute because it is currently used by Entity: DomainBasedAttribute.
Cause
This issue occurs because SQL Server incorrectly checks if the deleted consolidated or collection member is referenced by a domain-based attribute within the entity.
