Consider the following scenario:
  • You have a computer that is running Windows Server 2012. The computer is a member of a replicated folder.
  • The computer's membership of the replicated folder is disabled.
In this scenario, Event ID 4008 is not logged in the Distributed File System Replication (DFSR) log.

Note In the same scenario, both Event ID 4114 and Event ID 4008 are logged on servers that are running Windows Server 2003 R2, Windows Server 2008, or Windows Server 2008 R2.

This behavior is by design. Windows Server 2012 uses only Event ID 4114 to track disabled membership on a replicated folder.
