When you open a Word mail merge document that contains information from a Microsoft Access database, macros contained in the database may be enabled, and Word may not display the macro virus warning message. This problem can occur in either of the following situations:
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, install the Word Mail Merge Security Update. This update is designed to patch Microsoft Office 2000 Service Release 1 (SR-1) installations.

To install the Word Mail Merge Security Update, follow these steps:
This update has already been installed.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section. This problem was corrected in the latest Microsoft Word 2000 update. Please see the "Resolution" section of this article for more information.

After you install this update, when Microsoft Word opens a Microsoft Access data source that is attached to a Microsoft Word mail merge document, the following message is displayed:
main_document_filename is a mail merge main document. Word cannot find its data source, data_source_filename.
