Access Violation Error Message When You Use a List Box

SYMPTOMS

Under the following conditions, Internet Explorer generates an access violation error message:
  • You are viewing a Web a page that has a list box that contains more than 32,768 entries.
  • You select an entry that is beyond the 32,768 entry, and then press an alpha-numeric key to start a search of the entries.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Internet Explorer 5.5. For additional information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

STATUS
