Symptoms

When you perform a search against a category in Microsoft Commerce Server 2009 R2, the returned results are not sorted by rank.

Resolution

To resolve this issue, apply the following hotfix.

Hotfix information

A supported hotfix is available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem.

Prerequisites

To apply this hotfix, you must have Commerce Server 2009 R2 installed.

Restart requirement

You do not have to restart the computer after you apply this hotfix.

Installation Instructions

This hotfix package contains the following files:

  • CS2009R2RTM-KB2751382-x86.exe

  • kb2751382.sql

To prevent the occurrence of this issue in new catalog databases, run CS2009R2RTM-KB2751382-x86.exe file to update the Catalogcreate.sql file for Commerce Server 2009 R2. Additionally, you must run the kb2751382.sql file against the existing catalog databases to update their stored procedures.

File information

The global version of this hotfix has the file attributes (or later file attributes) that are listed in the following table. The dates and times for these files are listed in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). When you view the file information, it is converted to local time. To find the difference between UTC and local time, use the Time Zone tab in the Date and Time item in Control Panel.
