Symptoms

Assume that you access the Windows PowerShell Web Access website from a client device. The Windows PowerShell Web Access website is hosted on a server that is running Windows Server 2012. In this situation, the webpage is not displayed in your preferred language when all the following conditions are true:
  • The default language of the device differs from your preferred language.
  • The language preference in the browser is set to your preferred language.

Cause

This issue occurs because the language string that is sent by the browser in the Accept-Language header differs from the name of the language folder on a PowerShell Web Access gateway that is running Windows Server 2012.

Resolution

To resolve this issue, the PowerShell Web Access administrator must change the name of the language folder on the PowerShell Web Access gateway to match the language string in the Accept-language header. The language folder is installed in the following location:
%windir%/Web/PowerShellWebAccess/wwwroot
For example, if the language string in the Accept-language header is ja-JP, and if the name of the language folder on the gateway is ja, the administrator can use one of the following methods:
  • Rename the folder from ja to ja-JP.
  • Create a new folder that is named ja-JP, and then copy the content of folder ja to the new folder.
