How to print Avery 5294 white round laser labels in Publisher 2000

Avery has recently released the Avery 5294 label, a new 2.5 inch round label sheet for laser printers.

Because this label was released after Microsoft Publisher 2000 released to the public, Publisher 2000 does not include templates for this label sheet. However, you can create a custom template for this label sheet in Publisher 2000.

NOTE: Because of the wide margin settings required by most inkjet printers, you can only use this label sheet with laser printers.

To create a custom template for the Avery 5294 label in Publisher 2000:

1. On the File menu, click Page Setup.
2. Under Choose a Publication Layout, click Special Size.
3. In the box under Choose a Publication Size, click Custom.
4. In the Width box, type 2.5.
5. In the Height box, type 2.5.
6. Under Choose an Orientation, click Portrait, and then click OK.
7. On the Arrange menu, click Layout Guides.
8. Under Margin Guides, type the following values, and then click OK:

   Right	0.0
   Top	0.0

9. Draw a circle to fill the entire 2.5 inch area.
10. Select the circle, point to Line/Border Style on the Format menu, and then click None.
    
    This creates an unprintable dashed outline that you can use as a guide. Create your text and art elements in this area.
11. On the File menu, click Print.
12. In the Name box, click the laser printer that is connected to your computer, and then click Page Options.
13. Click Print multiple copies per sheet, and then click Custom Options.
14. Under Type in Spacing, type the following values into the corresponding Spacing box, and then click OK:

15. Click OK, and then click OK again to print the Avery 5294 label sheet.
