RESOLUTION

Microsoft has released a Visio 2000 Trial CD Patch to address an isolated problem that may occur when you install or start the 60 day Evaluation Kit editions of the program.

NOTE: For Microsoft Windows NT users, Administrator privileges are required for you to install or patch the Visio software on the computer. You must either log on to your computer as an Administrator or ask your System Administrator for assistance.

To work around this problem, follow these steps:
1.Insert the Evaluation Kit CD into your CD-ROM drive.

An Autorun installer should appear in the center of your screen. If the Autorun installer does not appear, follow these steps:
a. Start Windows Explorer.
b. In the Folders list (left pane in Windows Explorer), click the CD-ROM drive, for example, (D:).
c. Skip to step 3.
2.Click Browse the CD.
3.Locate VSetupT.exe, and then double-click it.
4.Click Start, point to Programs, and then click Microsoft Visio.
If you continue to receive the error message that is mentioned in the "Symptoms" section, continue to the next procedure, "How to Install the Patch."
