Dr. Watson Error Message May Occur When You Copy and Paste Files by Using Windows Explorer

SYMPTOMS

When you use the copy and paste or cut and paste functionality in Microsoft Windows Explorer, the following Dr. Watson error message may occur in Explorer.exe:

Explorer.exe has generated errors and will be closed by Windows. You will need to restart the program. An error log is being created.

In addition, the following event may be logged in the Application event log:

Event ID 1002
Src: Winlogon
Description: The shell stopped unexpectedly and Explorer.exe was restarted.

CAUSE

This issue can be caused by shell extensions that are installed when you install Allaire Homesite or Cold Fusion.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, remove Homesite or Cold Fusion, restart the computer, and then verify that the following files have been removed from the computer:

Cfshellftprds.dll
Cfssvradmin.dll
