Issues that this hotfix rollup resolves

Issue 1:

Assume that you run a .NET Framework 4.5-based application in order to obtain the new currency symbol for the Turkish Lira. If the user locale for the computer is set to a non-Turkish locale, the Turkish Lira symbol is not displayed.

Note To apply this update, you also have to install update 2739286. For more information about update 2739286, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
2739286 An update that adds support for the new currency symbol of the Turkish Lira in Windows Vista, in Windows Server 2008, in Windows 7, and in Windows Server 2008 R2 is available

Issue 2:

Assume that you have a .NET Framework 4.5-based Windows Form application. When you click a menu item to open a child window in the application, interactions with the menu and child window behave incorrectly.

For example, you may experience the following:
  • When you open a context menu in the child window, the main window form takes the focus.
  • You cannot use mnemonics to access a menu item.
This issue occurs because the IMessageFilter interface is unhooked too aggressively. Therefore, the .NET Framework 4.5 does not filter menu-related window messages.

Note
For more information about how to use the IMessageFilter interface, go to the following MSDN website:
How to define a message filter interface
