INTRODUCTION

Microsoft has released an update for Microsoft Office 2010. This update provides the latest fixes for Office 2010. Additionally, this update contains stability and performance improvements.

Issue that this update fixes

Consider the following scenario:

  • You install Office 2010, and then you install Office 2013 Click-to-Run.

  • You configure Office 2013 as the default program for Office files.

  • You apply an update to Office 2010.

  • You double-click an Office file.

In this scenario, the file opens in Office 2010 instead of Office 2013.

How to uninstall this update

  1. Click Start, and then click Run.

  2. Type Appwiz.cpl, and then click OK.

  3. Use one of the following procedures, depending on the operating system that you are running.

    • Windows 7 and Windows Vista

      1. Click View installed updates.

      2. In the list of updates, locate and click update 2760631, and then click Uninstall.

    • Windows XP

      1. Click to select the Show updates check box.

      2. In the list of updates, locate and click update 2760631, and then click Remove.
